Una buena noticia y una triste despedida / A good news and a sad goodbye

(English version below)

Suiza blanca y dulce. Voy a extrañarte!

English version

I am back from holidays and such a wonderful holidays they were! but would you believe me if I tell you that I didn't have time to work on all my photos yet? well.. believe it because I didn't.... you can see some photos here but I will do a nice post on it later on. Today I wanted to tell you something very important for me... I have been telling you that this is a year of changes for me but I couldn't tell you more because nothing was for sure, now it is. The very good news is that we are moving to London!! I am so excited about it. I am full of expectations and day-dreaming all the time, thinking how it will be to be in a city so ... London... There is anyways some kind of sadness behind all this... I am deep in love with Switzerland and it will be difficult to leave it behind... I think that once you really discover this country it is hard to just turn around and leave... For my dear Switzerland this special recipe.

From the moment Dulce Pampa was born, the ¨alfajores¨ were always the star of the menu. These delicious sweet south-american (and I will dear say argentinian) treats are sweet, soft and simply perfect. The first time I made them was indeed because I missed them so much that if I wanted to have them I would have to make them my-self; Switzerland I love you but you are missing something without the alfajores de maizena (cornstarch alfajores)... Two cookies and dulce de leche (I guess that the translation in english would be ¨milk jam¨) so simple so good. Just one secret, be generous with the dulce de leche otherwise it will be too dry and the magic is gone.

I hope you enjoy my gift to Switzerland, a country difficult to figure out but the once you really see it you cannot look away. Switzerland with its beautiful vineyards, lakes and mountains. Switzerland with its tip end buildings and its endless steep streets. Switzerland white and sweet. I will miss you!
